About us
P.A.W is an animal rescue and low-cost spay and neuter clinic operating out of Chetumal, MX run by one woman on a mission to end animal suffering in her town.
For 30 years, Madi has been rescuing animals. First, in Belize and later in Mexico. She works tirelessly 365 days a year to care for her over 80 animals and does so with no funding or community support. Besides rescuing dogs and cats from abuse and neglect, she runs a low-cost sterilization clinic monthly for her community. She spays and neuters 50-100 animals each month!
She is the heart, soul and foundation of everything we do- that’s why you can find her in our logo!
In Spring 2021, Corin lost her job during COVID. Looking for volunteer opportunities, she met Madi online and moved to Mexico to help at her rescue (we know, this sounds insane). A month into moving, she unintentionally took on a massive rescue mission of her own - she went from never having owned a dog, to living in a house rehabilitating 18 of them!
After exhausting all options, Corin started ‘Lost Souls of Mexico’ as an adoption agency to get the dogs out of Mexico back to her home town of Vancouver, BC. After all the dogs she rescued found homes, she couldn’t stop there after seeing the huge need.
Since 2021, Lost Souls of Mexico and P.A.W have worked together to rescue, rehabilitate and find loving homes for over 200 cats and dogs in the Lower Mainland, BC.
